%100 Enjoyable Brunch
Ruby’s is the best brunch spot you can ever have in NYC. I usually prefer to go Soho or Chelsea locations.
First time visiting East Village, well the server and the host was not welcoming. But great food, affordable price. And awesome vibe. Definitely the best spot you can choose for brunch.
I love their “Avo toast” It’s the one of the choose for every single time. I don’t know how to do describe the taste of the coffee they serve. But it’s just not the one. It’s kinda very soury and super strong in mean time.
My boyfriend had the “ big breakfast” without the sausage which they can not sub to salmon or veg option. But still the portion was good enough.
Great spot for some brunch. Coffee is nice and creamy like the proper Australian way. Don't know why they didn't have skim milk though.
I recommend the breakfast sandwich, it looked good and tasted even better.
Prompt service, squeezed us in quickly even with a line.
Immediate service even during height brunch hour (who doesn’t love that?). Delicious, yet light food that fills you up but doesn’t overstuff or make you feel gross, and great drinks too.
Definitely on the more crowded side, so had to speak a little louder for conversations, but wasn’t terrible - still a great brunch spot!
A great casual lunch spot with reasonably priced American and Italian food. Came here on a sunny afternoon and opted for outdoor seating - it was such a nice experience!
My friend and I weren’t super hungry so we shared a Spicy Vodka Pasta and ordered Crispy Brussel Sprouts on the side. Both were delicious though the pasta was not spicy at all. The pasta was cooked perfectly to al dente. The brussel sprouts were also a little too sour for my liking due to its garnishes. Overall: not too many complaints for the food for the price point. Would come back to try the other items on the menu!
While the food is good, their portion sizes are not. Ordered two entrees (spicy italian sausage and kale salad plus chicken on top) and a side (roasted mushrooms), totaling over $60. I was pretty sure I'd have lunch for tomorrow, but I easily ate it all. And, I received corn instead of mushrooms. It barely was a third full when I got it.
I’ve been to many locations of ruby’s cafe so I know their food. Whichever location I go to, the food tastes great. However, this location had the worst service ever. The waitress did not smile at all, say no to everything, and seems annoyed everytime i ask her for something. I really did not want to leave tip due to her rude attitude. I gave 3 stars because the food was still good.
Great small restaurant with nice breakfast options. We were very excited for the corn fritters but they were a disappointment. They were browned nicely but very mushy with an odd flavor. Almost like they had been made in advance and then reheated. The sweet corn mascarpone part of the dish was the highlight, absolutely delicious. The dish was accompanied by a beautiful salad but unfortunately was extremely salty which was odd because we also had the pumpkin salad which really needed some salt added to it. I didn’t taste the green eggs bowl but it looked good. The watermelon drink was really tasty and a little boozy. The greens on all the dishes were vibrant and fresh but unfortunately the rest was a little underwhelming. Will definitely come back to try some other dishes.
If you’ve been to one of the other Ruby’s then you’ll enjoy this location in the east village. An Inviting space, friendly staff & delicious food make it an easy 5 stars. I popped in for breakfast and had an excellent egg sandwich, which was exactly what I was in the mood for. Looking forward to coming back & trying more!
